organic C-spout of dornbracht CYO bathroom series traces flow of water
dornbracht’s new CYO series of bathroom fittings respond to the strengthened desire for refined private, intimate and highly personal refuges in our living spaces. dornbracht, the german specialist for bathroom, kitchen and spa fittings and accessories, has been a pioneer in these fields for seventy years. recently, not only hygiene has become more important, but also personal well-being and the separation of private and professional life at home. the new product is the brand’s first under the ‘leading designs for architecture’ concept, which aims to create lasting value in these sanctuary spaces with enduring iconic design.

‘with CYO, we have deliberately drawn on a design from our archives and thus on dornbracht’s design DNA, consistently transforming it into the present. CYO tangibly embodies our attitude through the highest-quality materials, manufacture and craftsmanship, as such the new design series stands for looking back while at the same time looking forward,’ says stefan gesing, dornbracht’s CEO.
the product’s C-spout characterizes the design right down to the water jet, which follows the shape of spout
with an extravagant, sculptural contour and its striking circular shape, the dornbracht CYO series is unmistakable. it defines the spout and handle and thus characterizes the design right down to the water jet, which follows the shape of the spout. created by long-standing partner sieger design, CYO was inspired by the sophisticated dornbracht series 2000 dating back to 1969, which carried a sense of revival and a new opulence. the latest design transforms an archetypal language of form into the future.
‘design always deals with the needs of people in their respective times. today, we appreciate the familiar and the tried and tested, but with a new contemporary perfection and quality,’ adds michael sieger of sieger design.
interchangeable inlays can be added to the click-stop handles for refined personalization
the design’s bi-structural glossy and matt finishes elegantly emphasize its C-spout sculpture. at its base, innovative handle knobs control the faucet with a rotating outer ring with finely tuned louvres for a click-stop function. this accentuates the high precision and quality of craft to deliver a haptic experience to the user. inlays give architects scope for added personalization with an interchangeable choice of six special exclusive surfaces and materials, some of which made of precious natural stones.
‘with the installation of the handles, their different finishes and inlays, we can offer a platform for the wishes, ideas and fancies of architects, interior designers and customers that is all but limitless,’ says christian sieger of sieger design.
