Go anywhere compact panel van launched by IH

Panel van conversion specialist IH Motorhomes has launched the 540FL, a two berth, front lounge model that measures just 5.4m long and 2.62m high. The 540FL is based on a Fiat Ducato 3,500kg Maxi chassis and comes with a Euro VI 2.3-litre 130bhp engine as standard with options for the 150bhp and 180bhp versions. Coming as standard is central locking, daytime running lights, electric step, driver and passenger airbags, electric wing mirrors, Thatcham Cat 2 immobiliser and steering wheel controls for the Bluetooth radio.

The kitchen area of the van has an Argent three burner gas hob with an electric plate. A combination microwave is fitted as standard but this can be swapped for an oven as a cost upgrade. For food storage there’s a Thetford T1090 Compressor Fridge. It has 56-litre fresh water and a 51-litre waste water tanks with a 25-litre tank for LPG.

One notable feature is the rear washroom which has a fixed, bench toilet with removable cassette, a drop down sink and a full height shower, all in one sealed room. As it’s next to the rear doors, it also means you can clean off anything muddy –like dogs or shoes - before entering the van. Heating and hot water is courtesy of the Truma Combi 4 unit.
