Due to the wide-ranging nature of prices received, a median price would better reflect the values obtained across the various cities. Fastmarkets AMM will maintain separately the Montreal and Toronto regions for Canada in response to market feedback. But instead of publishing a price range for each grade in the two regions, Fastmarkets AMM will also use a median price to better reflect the inputs received across the two cities. All prices will continue to be assessed on the 1st and 15th of each month. As part of the shift from city-specific price ranges to a single median price assessment, a one-time, permanent, non-market adjustment will be posted for each realigned grade. The adjustment, which will take place on January 2, 2020, will compare the high and low side of each city-specific range with a new single price. Prices will continue to be assessed on the 1st and 15th of each month. To provide feedback on this price notice, or if you would like to provide price information by becoming a data submitter to the non-ferrous city scrap assessments, please contact Sean Barry at sean.barry@fastmarkets.com.
